Thesis Statement: St. George is 3 hours away from 5 different National parks, 11 different State parks in Utah and Arizona, Salt Lake City, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, LA, and home to some of the most beautiful sceneries in the country Introduction: A. Attention-getter: According to the US Census Bureau last updated in 2005, St. George is the second fastest growing metropolitan in the US. a. From 2002-2004, St. George beat Las Vegas by a mere 0.6% as the fastest growing metropolitan in the US. b. This trend has continued; in 2007, St. George had a population of 140,000. c. It is estimated by 2025, St. George will have a population of 700,000. B. Reason to Listen: If you are looking for a great vacation this summer, St. George is a place to consider C.
