Stereotypes
Stereotype is when people are judging someone on how they want to be. In today’s society many people feel as if they can judge a person if that person is not what they should be. Many times I have judged a person on their religious belief, being prejudice, and homosexual. Many times I have spoken things on homosexual people and it was not the right thing to do. However, I feel like a person going to make the decision he or she want to make.
I work in a pillow factor the name of the factor is Advance Innovation. I can relate to times where I have gone to work and said something about a person who wore skirts to work. However, the lady wear skirts to work because the religious she believes in. Pentecostal women wear dresses to church. Linda is Pentecostal. Therefore, Linda wears skirts to church. This is a valid and sound argument of deductive because everything in the premise is true. This argument can also be classified as a guilt trip argument because I am feeling susceptible of guilt about the lady who wears skirts in a hot factor to work. This is her religious belief therefore, that is what she want to do is wear dresses to work. Pentecostal practices the supernatural gift of the Holy Spirit (Wonsuk, M. 2005).
Judging a person by their color is the wrong thing to do. I have a best friend who does not like white people. I felt as if this is a wrong situation because we all should be treated equal. Everybody needs love it does not matter what color a person is. A person should not think critically about a person color. If my friend studies logic it probably will help her to be able to deal with the situation a little better. This argument can be classified as an argument from envy.
