Week One: Computer Concepts Describe all the parts of an information system. The information system is made up of five parts. First there are the people which are the most important part. Then there are procedures. Procedures are the guidelines for people to follow when using software, hardware, and data. Next there is the software, also known as programs. The software consists of step-by-step instructions that tell the computer how to work. Next is the hardware. The hardware is the equipment that processes the data to create information.
