Bullying is a rapidly growing problem in today’s world and needs to be halted. When people are having a conversation over the internet, or face to face, their actions reflect something else other than what they really mean. Humans all feel emotions; they are a natural part of living. Some people might feel like they are not hurting anyone else when in reality their actions are having dire consequences. Bullying can cause major side effects including low self-esteem, self-harm, depression, insomnia, and in some extreme cases--suicide. The person doing the bullying also has an impact on their self.

Excessive bullying makes people feel worthless, insecure, and can even lead to low self-esteem, self-harm, depression, and so on. Fifteen- year old Ally Del Monte was bullied for most of her life. No one accepted her, and her life was a living hell. This resulted in Ally having negative symptoms and even attempting to take her own life. (USAToday) People all over the world are bullied, or know someone who is being bullied on a day-to-day basis. Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying a year. (DoSomething) Bullying is definitely a worldwide problem and needs to be stopped before anyone else experiences it. Most people believe that bullying is a part of growing up, and everyone will experience it at least once, and there is no alternative of stopping it. Maybe, most are going experience bullying at least once, but there are ways to stop others from experiencing the pain. We can parent our children at home and teach them how to respect themselves and others. Also learning to along with family members helps prevents bullies. As well as when there are no problems at home children can focus on entertainment and joyful things instead of depressing thoughts of bulling. Many people suffer from bullying and never think anything about it.
