Anyone’s life will depend upon how well it is planned strategically. A well crafted plan will give us the task cut out and will guide us towards our destiny.
I would like to cut my plan for the next 10 years into two parts one is a short term for next 3 years and the plan for the next 7 years being the longer one. The short term plan will in a way serve as a prerogative for the long term plan. This planning will involve developing realistic goals and objectives that I can accomplish in the longer run.
Short term plan:
My life in these initial 4 years would be extensively dedicated to my job as I hope to see myself higher up in the rank with work. I would slowly build up to the desired distance in my career path. Updating my skill set and exertion of my utmost capabilities would portray a parallel graph in my career. I understand that to grow higher in career I must be willing to do the things that most people are not willing to do. Being a woman from India, I am not totally independent from the personal commitments like marriage and family life. I have to adjust to the changes and must make them positive towards my life rather than stumbling blocks. These three years are the foundation stones which can decide the heights in my life.
To start of my career, I must possess industry hardened skills. Despite of holding a degree I lack the real time work experience. For the next six months, along with searching a job, I must attend some training sessions in Business Analysis and ERP technologies (SAP & PeopleSoft). As my core strength is in Business Management, I want to head towards searching a Job in Business Analyst positions. Improving my functional skills in ERP technology will help me in understanding the Business better. By the end of Six months I must be in a position to get a Job in US at any cost.
