INTRODUCTION
You may be wondering what makes someone a successful entrepreneur. It does help to have strong technology skills and knowledge in key areas, but these are not major characteristics of entrepreneurship. Usually an entrepreneur is seen as someone who starts a new business. They are also seen as people that have a gift for seeing opportunities and proceeding to make it as profitable as possible. Some entrepreneurs have managed to become successful in the business market and build a picture, however not all entrepreneurs have been successful in executing ideas and business endeavors. Schumpeter (1911) discussed the role of the entrepreneur in the process of economic development. He saw the entrepreneur as a creative, driven individual who finds “new combinations of [factors] of production” to develop a new product, corner a new market, or design a new technology.
A very special individual who has proven to be such a successful entrepreneur is Carolyn Jefferson. Explanation as to why I feel that this female is consider to be a successfully entrepreneur will be stated in this research, along with personal characteristics that lead her to become as successful as she is today. I will confirm that there could be a lot to be learned from Carolyn that will help other entrepreneur like her to become successful. I will also prove that with the correct skills, anyone can develop the traits that are needed to become a successful entrepreneur.

Carolyn Jefferson is the founder of Behind Closed Doors, which is a Dallas based business. Jefferson designs construction of custom-made closets and storage areas. We are not talking about nothing cheap, but these room-size spaces can cost up to $60,000 these closet consist of hand-crafted cabinetry with for cubbies and drawers for every garment and accessory.
