Summer VS Winter
What is your favorite season? Is it summer, like mine, because of the warm weather? Or is it winter because of the cold weather and Christmas? Summer and winter have few similarities, yet have big differences. The first big difference between summer and winter is the weather. In the summertime, it is usually warm and sunny and fun to be outside. You can go swimming, to the beaches, lakes, and swimming pools. He or She can ride with the windows down and feel the wind blow in his or her hair. You can call all your friends and have a cook out and enjoy the warm sun. In the wintertime, most of us think frigid, cold air, but you can still have fun. You can go ice skating, sledding, and skiing. You can sit outside on your porch with a blanket and drink coffee and not sweat. Although, many people hate winter because of the cold and it is miserable at times. However, the temperatures can greatly affect your moods and emotional habits. The summer heat can make you irritable and hot. In some people that does not mix well. The cold in winter can make you depressed because it is dark and gloomy. The less sunlight, the more people feel. Also, another thing about summer is you don’t have school if you are not in college. You can enjoy the amount of free time and do much whatever you want. In the summer people are lazy and relaxed. Winter is more hectic and busy sometimes there is conflict between the families because of the holiday season. In the winter people are bustling over Thanksgiving and Christmas, shopping and traveling to see relatives. Many people go on vacation in those months. Finally, in the winter months even though it is stressful, you can enjoy family and friends in the spirit of the season and in the summer, you can also visit family and friends without the inconvenience of bad weather. Whichever season you prefer, they both have many good qualities.
