Sun: a Resource That Humans Cannot Live Without

Since the dawn of time, the sun has been a resource that we cannot live without. Then what is solar energy? Solar energy simply put is the heat and light from the sun that is essential for the existence of almost living creature and plant on earth. But it was not until the 20th century that the sun’s energy has become an increasingly attractive source for human needs. Solar energy can be consumed by various forms, one of the ways is that it can be converted into electricity through the use of photovoltaic cells commonly called solar panels to power household electrical appliances or portable electrical and electronic devices such as a laptop. It is with this that many advantages can be derived from its use, while on the other hand, there are also disadvantages of using solar technology. Some of these advantages will be discussed firstly.

Solar energy has many advantages; one such advantage is that it is renewable meaning that it can be used over and over again. Further, our reliance on fossil fuels --natural gas and oil-- that have a climbing cost due to their demand can be greatly reduced, if we start changing this traditional energy source by switching to solar energy. Solar energy is also an excellent alternative energy source because there is no pollution generated when it is being used. There is no cost involved with using solar power other than the cost of manufacturing, purchasing and installing a solar energy system and it is also a flexible and expandable method of setting up a solar energy system. This means that you can purchase smaller solar panel units and then expand it at your own convenience and avoid a major financial investment upfront. The most advantageous use of solar energy is for its remote application that is; it is the best way of supplying electricity to isolated places where the cost of installing electricity makes it impossible, or more specifically, we can use solar energy as a portable power source.
On the other hand, solar...
