Importance of Displaying Proper Behavior

Due to our company merging with EnviroTech, many changes are occurring and will occur within our company over the next several months. With these changes, it is important that every employee keeps his or her focus on the vision and goals of InterClean. It is imperative that each of you be more conscious about information that you disclose to other employees. Currently, some major decisions are being made in our HR department in regard to employee retention. With a new vision in place, HR is trying to identify, “the skills of the current sales force, and identify skills and competency levels needed for the new sales direction.” From this information, HR will, “determine which gaps need to be filled with new hires.” This memo will first address how your behavior can impact the productivity of your employees. Next, it will seek to describe the types of management actions that are in line with employment laws and those that are not. Finally, this memo will conclude with some ideas and ways of working within a diverse work environment.

As a first-line manager for InterClean, you have more one-on-one interaction with our employees than higher management. Please keep in mind that employees are watching and analyzing every action and decision you make. Due to the shifts in staffing, it is causing some major drops in our employees’ morale.
