Axia College of University of Phoenix has provided the skills and information that I would need to complete my academic courses. This will be my student survival guide that will help me throughout my upcoming courses. The guide will help me to achieve success in six main areas. The areas include Axia’s Educational Resources, Upholding Academic Honesty, Setting and Achieving Goals, Managing Time Wisely, Fostering Reading Comprehension and Retention, and finally Applying Personality and Learning Styles. This will be a tool that I can always return and look upon to use for my courses.
Axia College provides an Educational Resource that would be helpful for my success. These resources have information on the Internet that will enable me to download on my computer or any of my portable hard drive to access and save. With the choice of being able to download the files to be saved it will save students time to access any information given. The best way to know which information I should save is to plan ahead. My plan is to read ahead and look at the syllabus to see what is needed so that way I can download and save chapter readings and appendixes. When I need to do any research for an assignment or project, I can use the University Library. The University Library offers a database that I can look up journals and articles. The usage is free and helpful that I can complete any written assignments. With the handbook and tutorials it has helped me figure out what I need to look for and pay attention to when I am looking at the articles. It also has other resources if I am confused about my grammar usages. It is important for students to have this type of access because in order for students to be successful in my studies I would need to rely on these types of sources.
