Course Description:

This course is an introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, immune, renal, reproductive, and endocrine systems for health sciences students.


Goals and Objectives:

Goals:

1. To introduce the student to basic anatomy and physiology of the digestive system in lecture as well as lab.
2. To introduce the student to basic anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system using lecture and laboratory observations.
3. To introduce the student to basic anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system in lecture with a focus on physiology in lab.
4. To introduce the student to basic anatomy and physiology of blood;
5 To introduce the student to basic anatomy and physiology of the immune system in lecture with a focus on physiology in lab.
