I have decided to do my case study on Amazon.com. Amazon is known for fast shipping, Kindles, and you can find mostly anything you are looking for on Amazon. Amazon is also known for their Prime Membership, a service that is reasonable in price ($99 for a year), that offers cheaper prices, two day shipping, free watch instantly movies, and also music. With low prices, large variety of selections, and fast shipping, Amazon grows to be the number one corporation that allows customers to find and purchase items online. Amazon pushes on as a 1st class e commerce phase.
Five Resources
The following five resources can be used to do research on Amazon are:
1) Physical Resources: Physical resources are characterized as manufacturing service, buildings, vehicles, structures, POS structures, and allocation systems. (Osterwalder, 2010) Amazon and other retailers are dependent on these resources, and they are also capital intensive.
2) Intellectual Resources: Intellectual resources/ assets are characterized as brands, patents, joint ventures, copyrights, and purchaser databases. (Osterwalder, 2010) Each of the above listed are progressively important factors in a well-built business.
3) Goods: Amazon is characterized as a Purchaser Goods Corporation, and depends greatly on their brands. Amazon also relies on software, and linked intellectual property which is consistently under development.
4) Human: Amazon enterprises insists on human resources, except for the resources that are primarily important in awareness intensive and original industries. (Osterwalder, 2010) Amazon is dependent...
