Abstract
In this paper, two theories that businesses put into use will be talked about.. The first one is employee empowerment (motivation theory), and the second is penetration pricing.
Theories and Empowerment
Introduction
The result of interaction between an individual, and a situation is motivation. Motivation varies by direction, persistence, and personalities. Many factors can affect motivation at the workplace that includes satisfaction at work, personal preferences, and organizational behaviors.
Some important motivational theories that can affect an individual’s behavior are goal setting, social cognitive, reinforcement, motivation hygiene, and two-factor (Robbins & Judge, 2009). Goal settings have the intentions to work toward a goal with high motivation, striving to do the least possible with clear and reasonable intentions of what needs to be done and how to achieve these goals.
Social Cognitive theory is also called Self Efficacy theory that refers to people’s beliefs and how capable they are to achieve a goal. The higher the self-efficacy the more confident they are (Robbins & Judge, 2009). Another motivation theory is the Reinforcement theory, this theory means that a person’s purposes direct to his or her actions, and takes a behaviorist approach conditioning a person’s behaviors (Robbins & Judge, 2009).
The Two-factor theory is also called motivation hygiene; this determines a person’s failure or success toward objectives and goals by his or her actions and attitudes. This theory suggests arranging work by job enlargement, job rotation, and job enrichment (Robbins & Judge, 2009). It also suggest to motivate a worker, to put emphasis on the factors related to the work itself like promotions, recognition, and achievement awards (Robbins & Judge, 2009).
