Driving and talking on cell phones is very dangerous. I think that people should not be allowed to talk on a cell phone and drive at the same time. In my next few paragraphs I will tell you why I think this.
In this paragraph I will tell you why people need to learn about this issue. This is a very important issue to learn about. You need to learn about this because you are putting people in the risk of a car crash. When you talk and drive your reaction time is the same as a seventy year old man. It is also the same as being very sleepy. Every time you dial your phone you take your eyes off of the road. People eventually become so absorbed in their conversations that their ability to concentrate on driving is severely impacted. So, every time you talk and drive you put someone’s life in danger. It could be not just the people in your car but also the people around you.
In this paragraph I will support my issue and tell you my main information. When a twenty year old kid is driving and talking on a cell phone they have the same reaction time as a seventy year old man without one. When you are talking on a cell phone you are eighteen percent slower at stopping for brake lights. The talking drivers kept a twelve percent greater following distance. The drivers also took seventeen percent longer to regain speed that they lost when they braked. Driving and talking causes some people to drive as bad as a drunken driver. The result in this decrease of reaction time ruins the overall flow of traffic. That is why driving and talking on a cell phone is so dangerous.
