Target is one of the most respected companies in the United States. To make Target the preferred shopping destination for their customers, they deliver outstanding value, innovation and an exceptional guest experience. Their motto “Expect more. Pay less” is consistently fulfilling the needs of their customers and the brand promise. This company did not get to where it is at overnight. Everyone involved in this company had to incorporate the functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling) to make this company as successful as it has been. “While it has explored the idea of crossing both northern and southern borders, Target Stores has shield away from risky international expansion in favor of broadening its existing markets and entering new markets. But as it approaches a maturer store base, it must seriously consider a globalization strategy in order to sustain growth throughout the decade and beyond” (Lisanti, 2002). After 40 plus years of Target being in business, retail technology has played a tremendous role in Target sales. One of Target’s strength is their diversity and workforce. Target is just not businesses that deals with retail, but as the business has grown over the years so have the new ways they have contributed to good causes, and this is where ethics plays its role. Target works to deliver an exceptional retail experience and always strive to meet the customer’s satisfaction.
