Many large business have many environmental issues such as Waste Materials, Waste Fluids and Carbon Footprint. Waste Materials such as plastic and cardboard have to be disposed of for example in a production factory of beds it will be plastic wrapped then packaged in a cardboard box the waste materials of cardboard and plastic needs to be disposed of this can be an issue. This could be expensive to dispose of in a quick and environmental way. Big business have to deal with their waste products like this but in an environmental way to avoid a bad reputation and even a government enforced fine on the business. Waste fluid disposal is also an issue for big business to deal with for example power supplying company’s providing nuclear power, the water used to keep the reactor cool becomes radioactive and cannot be disposed of by putting into the sewers or rivers. This will have to be disposed in a safe environmental and professional manner this can be very hard to do and very expensive and just to stay environmentally friendly. I f this is not done properly once again this can result in a big fine. Another issue for companies is to reducing there carbon footprint especially in the UK as the government is trying to reduce the UK’s carbon footprint. This can consist of a reduction in the amount of fuel they are using in their businesses, either through heating and lighting, computer use or vehicles this is the main part and essentials to keep their business running. This means the environmental issue of reducing carbon footprint could lead to and overall decrease in an output of goods or reduction in profit if not handled correctly. The last issue I will discuss is indirect carbon footprint through wastage, unnecessary printing, and use of paper when internet use could cut carbon footprint.
