Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is mainly based on my educational experience. I have been educated by many great teachers, and those who have had an impact on my life are those who were passionate about teaching as well as learning. I believe that an effective teacher should always continue learning new things. The world we live in is ever-changing, and we as educators, need to be adaptable in meeting our students’ needs. Out students deserve teachers who can prepare them to become model members of our community, which future generations can look up to. Teachers need to have the same passion for learning as their students, in order to achieve exceptional results in the classroom and society.
A teacher’s role in a classroom is not only to educate students academically; it is also the teacher’s role to foster cultural awareness to students. Going to International Schools in many different schools gave me a great opportunity to experience different cultures and allowed me to appreciate the cultural differences and become a tolerant person. Teachers should incorporate cultural topics in the lessons and expose students to different cultural perspectives in order for students to become open-minded and attuned to the global society.
Teachers must also help students realize their potentials by bringing a positive attitude to the classroom and constantly encouraging students. Often students do not realize their full potential and do not further develop on their talents. An effective teacher must be able to recognize every student’s strength and make sure they fully develop their skills. Teachers must recognize that every student is different, and help students cultivate their individualism. At the same time, it is important to stress team work in class.
