Find old alarm clock to use to wake me up
Not having to silence and un-silence my cell phone before and after class
Not having my iPod when walking between classes. Felt more willing to communicate with people.
Had to write notes in a notebook instead of on my laptop
Had to use resources like my teammates at lunch to figure out my practice schedule.
TV’s in the dining hall as well as the weight room
My asl tutor was frustrated that I could not use a computer to watch videos to learn communication.
My teammates kept coming to contact me face to face because they couldn’t get a hold of me the rest of the day.
Same at practice… no phones etc. in season this wouldn’t have worked because we have to watch film before practice
Not able to schedule anything with my roommates so just headed home for the evening
Roommate was mad when he got home because he forgot I couldn’t use my phone for the day
Avoided the living room because my roommate was playing video games all night.
Didn’t know what else to do other than study and clean my room or do laundry.
Couldn’t put my iPod on my Bose dock while cleaning
Almost turned my TV on several times
Richer conversations, starting with why I am not using technology.
Didn’t miss email, got more boring things accomplished, didn’t have distractions
