In Pursuit of Beauty 

Irrespective of the conservative traditions that may prevail in a society, beauty has always had a significant value in people’s everyday life. Nowadays the standards of beauty are more demanding than ever. In our modern day society, the picture of beauty is a thin super model with the body of a goddess posted on billboards all around the world. Little girls are brought up playing with Barbie dolls with prefect beauty. Because of these pictures and other figures of beauties projected all over, a person is convinced to believe that to be beautiful and happy, one must look like these images. To most, the easiest way to achieve this is by having plastic surgery performed. Plastic surgeries lead to serious addiction, can be harmful, and doesn’t not solve the problem of beauty rather just finds a temporary solution, regardless of how good the technological advancements are, there is always the risk of not only the surgery resulting in unwanted outcomes but in some cases death.  However, this rather radical alternative, which is effective in changing a way person looks like, but is highly controversial and should be abstained from in majority of cases.
There many reasons why people should not get plastic surgery. One of the main reasons is that the process of getting such surgeries can become highly addictive. Even though people tend to think that it will just be a single improvement, but the temptation to keep improving ones physical features can become overwhelming and lead to unpredictable and unhappy results. Critics argue a reason behind this addiction is that people see improvements, so they just want more and more of it, but that’s not the case. In reality, there is no point in cutting into a healthy body regardless of how small the operation might be. In cosmetic surgery, there is always a chance of something going wrong.
