Teenagers only think on the spot situations without having self-discipline on why they shouldn't do it even though we all know its wrong to do. They don't think about what could affect them in the near future. Sometimes he or she needs something to spark the idea of attempting or committing suicide, one never just out of the blue thinks about committing suicide. This brings up bullying as a big concern on how bullying is tied into suicides and suicide attempts. A study in Britain, they found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying (Bullying and Suicide, 2013). When teens commit suicide due to bullying they bring everyone down with them such as parents, relatives and friends. According to interviews in this article on Teen Health (2011) they question on why do teens try to kill themselves.
They bring answers to why they committed suicide. Most teens interviewed after making a suicide attempt say that they did it because they were trying to escape from a situation that seemed impossible to deal with or to get relief from really bad thoughts or feelings. (Lyness, 2011)
We all feel overwhelmed by difficult situations at times. Some are stronger dealing with these situations by doing something they found helpful during these situations, while others find it very hard to cope with them. A few ways to cope with this is by talking to someone that you truly trust like their parents.
During the adolescents teens tend to find themselves trying to fit in with whoever they’re spending a lot of time with. Identity crisis is a psychological term that describes someone who’s in the constant state of searching for his or her identity.
