In the first case study I believe the owner of the company used two types of motivation. First let me say that she was very dedicated to her work and made sure everyone was treated fairly no matter who they were, from the customers to the employees. She then used her skills to expand and create franchises based on the needed for the business and with the help of her family. The two theories I believed she used were equity theory because of the fairness her company operated in and then job enrichment because based on the fairness and the sucess that surrounded the employees they felt good about the job and it reflected in the way they performed their duties. The second case I was a little unsure which motivational theory was used because I could not find just one that I felt related to the case. I believe the new owner of the company came in with a vision and although the employees could not see it at first, after seeing first hand that he was going to be there to support them along the way I believe they all came on board. He was there to support them and provide instant feed back to all of their questions and concerns which in the end cut out on the conflict or confusion.
