Introduction: Driving alone has many dangers involved. Texting while driving just increases the risks involved while being behind the wheel. Numerous accidents caused by texting while driving lead to death or serious injuries. Many people are taking precautions to make the road a safer place to be for drivers, passengers, and bystanders. Today, mobile communication companies are taking a stand on Texting and Driving. Many have created advertisement campaigns to persuade their audience not to text and drive. Image A portrays texting as a distraction to drivers by placing a drawn out text message to block the road. The artist chooses to put the image in the perspective of the driver to provide the viewers with shock to make them understand the dangers really involved with texting and driving. The image portrays two paths from which to choose while driving. If the driver chooses to take the path to follow the text message, they hit head-on to a lamp pole. This path suggests the approaching disaster made possible by those who text and drive, while the other path is clear and free from road blocks.
