The Amazon of South America

The earth has gone through many natural changes throughout all of time. Besides those natural changes, there are other changes that the earth goes through that are brought upon not by nature, but by man. Some of these changes are potentially dangerous. Some of these changes include climate change, ozone depletion, water pollution, and deforestation. People are are causing these unnatural and dangerous problems. Little by little, humans are contributing to the destruction of the earth. Global Warming is a huge, huge problem. Former Vice-President of the United States of America, Al Gore is fighting strongly against global warming. There are a few other people who believe global warming does not exist. They say there is no solid, or concrete evidence, to prove global warming is true. We must not let there naivete bring upon the demise of the earth. In Al Gore’s Academy Award winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth , Al Gore provides many facts to prove global warming is real, and that something must be done to aid this problem. His evidence seems pretty solid. He shows many observations of polar ice caps melting. He also shows the increase in greenhouse gases. He even relates the deadly hurricane Katrina, which caused major damage in New Orleans, as a result of global warming. Hurricanes are caused when hot air and cold air are mixed, usually over oceans. After the hurricane is formed, heat works as fuel for the hurricane. Hurricanes such as Katrina should be expected unless something is done to prevent global warming. Global Warming is a big problem that affects the whole earth. In An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore provides many statistics in the increase in heat over the years. An Inconvenient Truth

provides many facts that help prove global warming is real and should be taken seriously by everyone; both politics, and ordinary people.
