After reading the case study of Samuel I believe that Samuel is suffering from depression, loneliness, and grief. Samuel lost his wife, his job, his financial stability and a cherished dream (retiring and traveling with his wife). All the things were taken from him unexpectedly and abruptly. This is a lot for an individual to deal with at one time. Any of the losses I listed can cause grief. Losing someone or something you love or care for deeply is very painful. Right now he has a fear that no one will hire him because of his age and he's only worked as a steel worker. Samuel needs to realize the fact that he has a lot to offer his community. Let the same community and church that he's been actively...
