In this essay i will be compairing two stories, The Cask of Amontillado and Twins. I will tell you about some similairities and some differences. I will also tell you about the styke and tone of both of the stories.
The similairitys between them are, they both and a death in them. Although one led on one way, then changed (dramatic irony). The other, however, was very clear who was going to die (foreshadowing).
Both of these stories have completly and different and Styles a and Tone of writing. While a the a Cask has words dated back to the 1800's and both of the main characters are dressed up, and Twins has more of a 20th and and and and century Style a and the main characters are just in thier plain old cloths.
The one i like the most is the Twins Storie because, you think it's the husband going to kill the wife and he has the gun ready and "Click, Click, Click". The storie goes on without anyone knowing what happend.It also states half way though the story that they are some of these in it and i think it's true.
My opinion on both of these stories is, i think that if you like stories that are very dark and gloomy and kind of old, i would read The Cask. But if you want something that is a bit confusing and very surprizing with more of todays style of writing then go with Twins.
