The city of Picola
‘ Ringgggggg ‘ that was the sound from my alarm clock . I slowly open my eyes and looked at the clock. The needle of the clock showed exactly at 7.00am. I still ignored the sound of my alarm clock and slept for few minutes. I’m just too lazy to wake up because I have a feeling that today will not be a good day for me. In fact, ever since I moved to this town I always had this kind of ‘feeling’ which I really hate it. I feel like spending the whole day lying on the bed and just hope good things will happen. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice calling me at the background and it was my mum “ Alice!!!!!! Wakeeeee upp!!!!! It’s already 7.30 am. Go and get ready for school. Aren’t you want to be early for school? ’’ I replied ‘’ Okayyyyy mum, I know’’. I quickly ran into the toilet and took my towel and went straight to the bathroom.
After my shower, I rushed and be in my school uniform as quickly as possible, had my breakfast and went into the car straight away as my mum had shouted at me because I was late for school. My mother is the one who drives me to school every morning. Every day she will send me exactly in front of the school compound and make sure that I’m already in the school compound then only she will leave the place. It was a cold morning. In fact, that whole month had been unseasonably cold just like my mood throughout the month. I just hated this place so much. I feel like moving back to my old place where I can go anywhere freely. Ever since I moved to Picola city, it seemed that things around my house were always a little tense- not between my parents but because of the people here. Most of the people here are dangerous and suspicious. A lot of serious cases like murder and kidnapped happened in this city. Usually at night, the drug addicts will be everywherein the housing area to threatened the neighbouring hood.
