The dictionary describes integrity as an adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. In other words, UC Hastings describes it as choosing to do the right thing, even when you know that nobody is looking. There are many interpretations of this word. To me, I see integrity as reaching out a hand of help to someone in need when others have turned their back on the person. It means using both social responsibility (doing things to benefit others) and personal responsibility (actions you do and not the actions of others). New sentence- Integrity is important to me because I have seen a lot people who need help bad and there is no one there to give it to them. I practice integrity because in most cases I am a person who ignores desperate people in need of help.
One example where I displayed integrity is when I was with my friends on the bus. Because the bus was full, we had sat in the front of the bus. I had taken some of the stress and pain away by not letting her be on her feet to her next destination.
Another example where I demonstrated integrity is when my counselor needed help with an orientation for the incoming freshmen at the last minute. Even though I wasn’t an Ambassador and had other things that I planned on doing, I decided to attend the orientation. I knew she needed help and that I would be able to assist her with the school tour and my freshmen year reflection...
