As I begin to describe my living experience with the term "education". I think back how it wasn't free and what my early ancestors gave for me and everyone else in a America. The opportunity to take advantage of the world's best education. I believe it's the best because it's the only one I know. Growing up in America's educational system taught me to think in a brave rebellious, free spirit, structured, way. Thankful for an American educated mind set, I reward myself by learning something new each and every day. A definition from Merriam Webster dictionary defines education; the action or process of educating or of being educated a stage of such a process. Education to me is the opposite of ignorance and ignorance is the enemy of knowledge.
Like my mom use to say if you're not learning nothing you're doing nothing. Or as I was going thru school teachers told me, "the brain is a terrible thing to waste." They were telling me that because when as I open my mind to the benefits of education. The social aspect of my life education will give me a better understanding on how to communicate to people effectively. I will understand what is happening around me. For example voting, I will have enough knowledge to carefully choose the candidate I will vote for. I will know what to consider in choosing the right candidate to serve and protect our country. I will be able to understand the social issues that our country is facing and will be capable to help in my own little way. However, it is apparent in this competitive world that most of the successful person have the proper education especially the higher position in society they have proved that education will give you the edge in life.
Education is very important to me especially in today’s society. It will not only make you a better person but it will also give you a better life. Education is as important as the air we breathe. It is the most important possession a person must have....
