First of all, being vegetarian increase a high level of live. People who eat vegetables can live longer. Studies have shown that vegetarians can live 10 years more that non-vegetarians. Their bodies consume all the minerals, vitamins, protein, etc that these vegetables and fruit contain and these ingredients prepare their bodies to have a high range of live. Meat has some, but second hand. Why do not to eat them directly? Again, people who have a diet without meat, can live up to 120 years.
Another effect of being vegetarian is a lower risk of get cancer. Meat has certain genes that may cause illness, heart disease and even worse, cancer. Eating only vegetables, cereals, nuts and fruit can highly stop and reduce the risk of get cancer as in the lung, liver and colon.
At last, and third and important effect of practicing vegetarianism is a mental intelligence prepared to understand spiritual matters. Vegetarianism not only protect and keep our bodies but also our mind. Being vegetarian, our minds are better prepared to understand spiritual teachings and concerns. All the cells of our body and mind will be fed with the nutrients and benefits that vegetables and fruit have.
