 Environmental Protection Act
Approved in 1999 and came into force on March 31, 2000.
The purpose of the Environment Protection Act is to protect the environment, and the health of the people , their main priority is to stop the pollution.

This Act is trying to put laws so that they can stop and eliminate toxic substances and to prevent them from releasing into environment
To prevent the pollution of the environment, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act came up with some policies to stop the companies or individuals from polluting the environment. If these policies are not being followed, there are penalties.
Ministers
Ministers take such action that are considers necessary in order to manage or protect, the environment.
- Preparing and Publishing policies, strategies, objectives, and standards.
- Giving permits
-investigate problems of pollution, waste management, waste disposal, litter management and litter disposal
Permit
A permit is written authorization from the Minister of the Environment to carry out certain activities at a specific location within a specified period of time. A permit contains any conditions that the Minister considers necessary in the interests of human life, the environment, and terrain or marine life. A permit specifies the activity permitted, as well as the exact location and time-frame for which it is valid.
Health
