There are people who say the happenings of global warming are not true. But rather those people see it or not, this effect is changing the earth in many ways with climate changes, summers are becoming a lot warmer, hurricanes are starting to become more efficient and powerful, icebergs are melting in the poles, ocean levels are rising; making it hard for animals to settle in their homes, and the cause of it all comes from the things we as humans do. In this, I will give you the facts to prove my reasoning that global warming is actually happening in our world today.
There is what is called a greenhouse effect in the earth which is the process in which the radiation by the atmosphere warms the planet’s surface. The name comes from a comparison with the warming of air inside a greenhouse compared to the air outside the greenhouse. The greenhouse effect is the heating of the earth due to greenhouse gases made by humans with things such as factories, automobiles, and other human made inventions that give away gas. The greenhouse gases transmit infrared waves that trap and allow some to pass into space. The gases trap in the waves and send the waves back down, causing the atmosphere to warm.
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are a group of greenhouse gases that are very dangerous because small amounts of these gases can trap large amounts. “Now, CFCs make up for one quarter of our greenhouse gases” (Global Warming Unchecked). And because there are so many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere more heat is being trapped in making the earth warmer. This is known as global warming. “Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere...
