Marijuana is a derived from the flowers and top leaves of the female cannabis sativa plants. Marijuana is also known as Mary Jane, grass, weed and pot. Ever wonder the harm that smoking marijuana does the adults and adolescents? How does it make the human body feel? What influences people to smoke marijuana? Many of us have been lacking to know the answers to those questions. In know people who smoke marijuana some are everyday smokers others are called social smoker. Everyone has different reasons for smoking. Many use marijuana for the purpose of getting high. Others use it to escape from stress and anxiety. Marijuana is a mixture of leaves, stems and flowering tops of an Indian plant. Thisplant which has a bed reputation for causing harm to the body and brain has been considered to be used for medical purposes. Although marijuana may just have been researched in the past thirty years for medical use, it actually has been used as folk medicine as early as 3000B.C. in Central Asia and China (Zimmer, Ph.D. and Morgan, M.D. 6.). Many people smoke marijuana to not face reality. Whena person is stressed with emotional problems, they feel that a joint will calm the pain. What it really does is it gets a person so stoned that no thoughts flow through the mind because all feelings are paused. It makes a person feel hungry and dawn at time. Giggles and feeling of happiness may take place when he/she is high. Other smoke when they are peer pressured from friends or lovers. When I was about thirteen years old I thought marijuana was a legal substance, but I was wrong. I have been close to trying it but never smoked it because I would see my friends high and would look dawned out they would smoke in joints, in cigar or out of a pipe. The new generation today is trying other drugs, which I think the cause of this it’s that these people are weak, minded. They get influence into trying stronger drugs because marijuana gives him/her an intense mentality about themselves....
