The Internet Is A Waste Of Time
Let me start off by telling you why people tend to think that the Internet is a waste of time. This is because the Internet presents a negative influence on the youths today. They like surfing the Internet to watch pornographic materials. This can influence our youth to do the wrong things. Furthermore, they do not get anything beneficial out of it. However, I strongly disagree with the topic and would like to stress that the Internet does not waste our time.
The first reason is that the Internet is a very valuable source of information for both children and adults. We can get all kinds of information we need very quickly, at the click of a mouse. We can even read newspapers online, like The Star and the New Straits Times.
The second reason is that the Internet allows us to communicate with people all over the world instantly and cheaply. Nowadays, people are sending e-mails for free, instead of posting letters. In addition, they are able to get instant replies through chatrooms, like MSN Messenger and the ICQ. This is definitely not a waste of time.
Finally, the Internet allows us to play games and download music for free. Not only do we save money, we also save our time because we do not need to go out shopping for these things.
Therefore, let me end by saying again that the Internet does not waste our time. Instead, it brings to us a world of benefit which can be put to very good use.
