The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction is the belief that thoughts influence change. “Like Newtonian laws of physics, that pertain to our interaction in the physical world, such as the law of gravity, these universal laws describe how we interrelate on more subtle levels, via our actions, thoughts, feelings and emotions. Of these laws, the Law of Attraction is only one.” – (Dr. Rita Louise). The Law of Attraction covers social attractions. What do people look for in a friend? What do men look for in a girl? What do girls look for in a guy? It all depends on what fits your wants and/or needs. It’s like the phrase “survival of the fittest” but with relationships. The easiest way to look at it is by acknowledging the idea that men try to impress women by strength, looks, and confidence. Here’s a quick scenario: If there’s one girl that 10 guys are battling for, who is the girl going to pick? She is probably going to choose the man who is the strongest, best looking, and most confident. She wants someone who can take care of her, keep her safe, someone she can trust, ect. Although trust is listed, it takes time for strong trust to build up.
Some people might look at trust differently than others. Some might trust someone right when they meet them until the other person does something untrustworthy, but usually people don’t completely trust anyone that they just met. Long lasting trust takes time to build.
Friends are supposed to be people who you can talk to, have fun with, play sports with, watch movies with, and anything else you would do with a friend. But a best friend is more than that. A best friend should fit all the characteristics of a normal friend plus other things such as strong long lasting trust, supporting, encouraging, very respectful, and caring. What makes someone your girlfriend/boyfriend? Look past just asking them to be your girlfriend… What made you like them in the first place? What were you attracted to? A girlfriend/boyfriend...
