The Little Prince
——a fairy tale of love and life
As many other fairy tales, the outline of The Little Prince is not very complex. The narrator of the story is a pilot whose plane had something wrong and had to land in the Sahara, then the pilot made the acquaintance of the little prince who came from another planet. The little prince had left his tiny planet as there was something wrong with the relationship between he and a rose which the little prince had made great efforts to grow. After escaping from his own planet,he took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids. On his journey, the little prince met different kinds of people who seemed odd to him and descended in the Sahara,on the earth. On the earth, the little prince saw a garden of five-thousand roses and felt astonished and sad as he thought his rose was unique in the universe before but found that his rose was almost the same as the others. At that moment,a fox appeared and told the little boy the meaning of the word“tame” and made him know that his rose was unique as she had tamed him.At the anniversary day of the little prince’s descent of the earth,he went back to his own planet in a way of being bitten by a snake. The author does not tell the end directly but leaves some space for the readers to imagine.
