Why? Why does this stone appear after I lose my great- granddaughter? If I know that Kahu get this carved stone,I will let her become the new chief, will I? I will take her to where she want to go. I will buy candy for her and tell story for her. I will go to the school contest to be her guest. I will let her study Maori’s culture. But it can’t happened. I lose my chance to love my great grand-daughter. In fact, Kahu is a lovely and clever girl, everyone love her. I also very love kahu, but she is a girl. Just man can become the new chief. I must find a new chief, that’s my destiny. Girl is useless for me. But Kahu accomplishes the things that none of the men in the tribe can finish. She gets the carved stone. But I am just a great-grandfather who always listen to the tradition but doesn’t know things need to be flexible. My stubborn caused Kahu can’t feel my love. There was a genuine love in front of me before, but I do not treasure it until the time that I lose. I am so regret for it. It is the most painful things in the world. If God will give me an opportunity again, I would say that I love my great-granddaughter Kahu, if I can add the deadline of the love, I hope that is 100,000 years. If Kahu can return safely, I will let her become the new chief and treat her very well forever. Please! Kahu, come back! Your Paka...
