The Piano

I awoke with a warm feeling in my heart as music was filling the air. My dad played some music and I was so surprised that he was very good. I was now glad we had gotten that piano the day before. It was hard for me to wake up, but when I did, I just decided to remain lying under the covers of my bed listening to the harmonic air echoed in my ear. My throat started to run dry, but I forgot about it and remained still and as the music echoed across the house. I felt sleepier and sleepier, but I was determined not to fall asleep. Eventually though I was getting too thirsty and so I struggled to get up. I walked downstairs unwillingly and crossed the living room floor, the music got louder and I felt sleepier, nevertheless I kept walking, I chuckled, "what's with the coat, Dad?", I got no reply... my thirst banned me from caring and as I passed the window. The day was wonderful, the flowers bloomed with beauty, the birds sung with joy, the wind blew with caution, mysteriously though, it felt just like a regular day, and so I realized that it was the music that allowed me to see how beautiful the neighborhood was, but yet again it was still our neighborhood. I walked to my kitchen and as I did I took another glance at the wonderful outdoors, then I opened the cabinet, grabbed a glass and filled it with water. As I drank I noticed a note attached to the refrigerator door with a magnet, it seemed hurried though. It read, "Phelanie, your father and I are gone, we have something important things to take care of. We left some food inside the fridge for you, make sure you eat. Love mom.” Then I finally realized that the car was gone. The music stopped playing at that very second. My heart froze. I'm an only child with no parents and know way to fend for myself. Just as fast as I had arrived into this world I was about to leave it with no idea where I was going to go when I left. Without any hesitation I was able to say that I lived life to its fullest.
