Switzerland is a small country situated in the heart of Europe. It is a very densely populated country containing about 7.6 million people. Switzerland has about 1540 people per square mile. Switzerland is a federal republic consisting of 26 states called cantons. Switzerland is one of the richest countries in the world by per capita GPA (gross domestic product). It is bordered by Germany, France, and Italy. Switzerland has a long history of Neutrality and has not been in war since 1815. Switzerland hosts many international organizations such as the Red Cross, and the World Trade Organization. Switzerland is a multilingual country and has four national languages consisting of German, Italian, French and Roman. The establishment of Switzerland is dated to August 1st 1291. That is why the first of August is Switzerland’s national holiday.
The federal Constitution is adopted in the legal foundation of modern day Switzerland. There are three main public governing bodies on the Federal level. Like in America, they have the legislative, executive and judicial parliament. The Swiss parliament consists of two houses; the Council of States, and the National Council. The federal council serves as executive head of state. The Federal Supreme Court has to hear appeals against rulings of Cantonal and Federal Courts. The Swiss Government has four major branches: Christian Democrats, Social Democrats, Liberal Democrats, and Swiss Peoples Party. The federal constitution outlines basic and political rights of citizens. Switzerland has a direct democracy. what the hell more do i have to add for it to be 250 freaking words, i am tired of this crap. I hope i wrote enough now
