Buzo-Quiles The true meaning of censorship is suppressing material that is considered morally, politically or otherwise objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the government or media organizations as determined by a censor. People maybe against it or forward with the whole censorship on books, media, music, and etc. Almost everyone has the right to express their opinions on what should be censorship on a couple of things. Do you think so? If so or not, here’s some of the ways that might change your mind about it.
PROS
Legal Issues: if censors were to be more involved with limited the access to these sits in the first place then people wouldn’t have to worry about the different laws governing their community.
Issues Regarding Children: This would leave parents worried about what could be happening to their children, even after all the work they do to provide morals to their children.
Follow the Trend: In many Middle Eastern countries, where official censorship of traditional media still largely applies, access to the web is restricted to government servers. Many of those countries feel that if they grant freedom to the different issues on everything they begin to lose control and justify central regulation.
CONS
First amendment: In a way, the government can’t control what’s printed in newspapers or books. If the media were to be controlled in any way then that’s considered a violation of the rights given to citizens of the United States given by the constitution.
Leave it to the Parents: Some people feel that the teachers in the schools should help parents teach kids from wrong, but, others feel that is an issue that should be kept to the parents. Parents should be allowed to tell their children what can and cannot be viewed on the Internet and if children violate those rules set by parents then the parents should deal with those issues in their own way.
Follow the Trend: Not everyone...
