Febuary 5, 1992 was a very cold an awkward day in Holdback, Colorado. It seemed awkward because of the simple fact that there seemed to be nobody about on the streets doing there shopping or any other daily chore. It is not like people are not used to the cold or anything. It is Colorado for goodness sakes. It is always cold here in the dead of winter.
As the day was coming to an end she knew that she should do her homework before she was given the third degree about, how she needed to be more self motivated. She finished it and laid it to the side on her desk. Tara then showered and told her parents that she was going to bed.
Tara was ready for some sleep. There is nothing like laying back in your own bed and being nice and warm. She laid there listing to the radio as she drifted off to sleep.
Tara woke up to see the clock reading 1:06 a.m. Her mouth was so dry. Tara crept out into the hall way slowly so she wouldn’t wake anyone up. As she passed her sister Lindsey’s bedroom she heard a thud. “What in the world?”, she said to herself. Tara threw open her sisters bedroom door to see that her window was opened and her white sheers were blowing in the wind. Tara shut the window and turned around to look at her sister. The only light she had was from the street light that was on the corner of the street. She didn’t see her sister. Her covers were all crumpled as though she has been there, but, where is Lindsey? Tara ran over to the bedroom door and fumbled for the doorknob. She felt the light switch instead. She flipped it up to turn on the lights.
Twelve years later a boy at the age of ten years old was online. He was chatting with some friends when an instant message popped up that said, “Hey, little bro.” The boy responded, “ I am sorry you must have the wrong Brian because I am an only child.” A few more messages came that told him where he lived, what his house looked like and everything.
