Thesis:
War is a time period where family links are cut, chaos is everywhere and life has been completely turned upside down. However, war should be a time where people in communities should connect together and come to the aide of one another. In “The Wars”, many characters are affected by war in a negative way as they realize what they have caused and what will be left for the future. Also during war, many become self-centered and begin to only think of themselves as time becomes crucial and rash decisions are made with unknown outcomes. Robert made some rash decisions that were forced to be made due to the situation he was in at the time, this shows the negative influence war has on any individual.
