Some wise people had recognized the significance of leadership to solve this problem. Countless real cases have proved that leadership is and will continually playing an indispensable and special part to a company, particularly in today’s dynamic economic environment,
This essay explains the concept of leadership and three major approaches of leadership with particular examples. Besides, the issue that how these approaches may be used effectively and which is the most effective for leaders to achieve goals are showed in this essay as well.

Definition of leadership
Undoubtedly, it is hard to define leadership. Many experts hold different perspectives on the definition of leadership. One of them states that leadership is a course of stimulating people’s passion and leading the way to obtain targets. (Shermerhorn, et al.(2004)). However, according to Davidson, P. et al. (2006), Leadership can be viewed as a course and a wealth to a wise leader. To be regarded as a course, leadership is the means without coerciveness to affect people to set the teams or entities’ targets, and stimulate action to fulfill the targets and foster their culture; in terms of wealth, the set of trails because of those leaders who are not coercion. These ideas show that leadership is not just a noun, but also represent a kind of business phenomenon, which is caused by the business environment and organizations’ culture.
