Throughout the Galilean ministry of Jesus
Christ, there were many teaching that Jesus gave.
These teachings were designed not only to
explain who He is and what His ministry was
about, but also to describe to the Jewish people,
key characteristics of the Kingdom of God. Although there are multiple stories where Jesus explained features about the Kingdom of God, the following paragraphs will focus on these three stories: Jesus’ first sermon at Nazareth; The Beatitudes; and the parable of the Good Samaritan.

Jesus’ First Sermon at Nazareth

In Luke 4:16 -19, we read Jesus’ first sermon, an inaugural address if you will, in the synagogue in His own home town. Jesus uses, as the basis of His sermon, words from the Prophet Isaiah. He even applies this prophecy to Source: http//www.jesus.christ.org
Himself, in saying: “The Spirit of the Almighty LORD is with
me because the LORD has anointed me to deliver good news to humble people. He has sent me to heal those who are brokenhearted, to announce that captives will be set free and prisoners will be released.” [Isaiah 61:1].
