Is Time Travel Possible?
In this segment of Morgan Freeman’s ‘Through the Wormhole’, another controversial and interesting subject is talked about. ‘Is time travel possible?’ There are many theories as to answer this complicated and extraordinary question. In the documentary, scientists use everything from complex computers and lab material to pizza to explain the theories of time travel.
According to most scientists, it is beyond easy to time travel into the distant future so long as we apply quantum physics and mathematics and look into space. There are wormholes that can put us a couple of minutes into the future and just by going into space, we can already travel into the future by a couple of seconds. Many scientists however believe that it will be quite a while before we can create an actual machine that will take us round-trip into the future. However, it will take much more advanced technology in order to travel into the past.
I stand neutral when it comes to time travel. When I say this, I mean that it would be nice to time travel so we may have more accurate information as to events in history, however, time travel could also lead to be a disastrous procedure. If placed in the wrong hands, time travel could change the course of the future and make the present much different. The way I see it, there are some questions that should be kept unsaid and time travel lies within that field of questions.
