The job is for a local and large retail company. There are seven department stores in the local area. There must be availability to work at a different store upon request. Critical areas of the job include: computerized cash register system, interaction with customers, and knowledge of particular products that are being sold. We have to keep our business at the top during the holiday season. Having knowledgeable and respectful employees is one of the only ways that this goal is going to be achieved. As a salesclerk or an employee that person is the one who represents the company to the public, so the way that each employee conducts themselves is very important. The manager will be in charge of the lead associate who will be conducting the training throughout the seven day process. It will take more than seven days to completely learn everything. After a certain segment of training is completed, the employee will take a short exam to see how much knowledge he or she has retained.
The training needs to be done upon hire, because it will help develop the employee into trying to be the best employee there can be in the department store. Training will always help the employee succeed and make them a better person and stronger employee. Training and development programs are introduced to organizations to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees. In addition, development and training programs are essential for an organization to successfully train and educate their employees. The quality and variety of the training companies provide is the key for motivation. Reasons for training range from new-hire training about your operation to introducing a new concept to a workgroup. Quality training and development programs are essential in keeping the staff motivated about learning new concepts and keeping the department profitable.
