Philosophy of the 20th century has passed under the slogan “the property of anthropology”. Changes in the way of approaching human studies have been attached to the formation of transhumanism. In a few recent decades, transhumanism has become an enhancement on the future of human being, and been applied into human body. Transhumanism will make a great change in human’s life; but, in the future, there might be some side effects if the human relies too much on it.

Basically, transhumanism is a type of philosophy based on the application of science and technology to improve the human condition. Specifically, it liberates human from its biological constraints, and seeks something else that is going beyond current innate human’s capacities through advanced technology. According to Max More, a British philosopher and futurist, the innovation of advanced technology is highly valuable and critical to humanity. It supports for the process of improving the condition of life. On the other hand, some people claim that humans will lose the origin of being the human.

Transhumanists tend to improve of human’s life, condition and capacities through advanced technology. Recently, those advanced technologies, cyborgs, chips, implants and robots, have been applied to human. One good example for this is “Cybernetic”, a cochlear implant that can help to provide a sense of sounds to a person who is hard-of-hearing. Michael Chorost was born almost deaf, but now he can hear with the cochlear implant implanted inside his ear, for instant. Nick Bostrom, a Swedish philosopher at University of Oxford, has believed that transhumanism aims to the benefit of human such as limiting the duration of injury, being able to cure advance diseases like cancer, and creating an artificial intelligence. Nowadays, some impressive transhumanist technologies appeared. However, those advanced technology we have today are just a low level of transhumanism.
