Treasure Island 2

Treasure Island 2

The story begins in the end of the eighteenth century near Bristol England at the Admiral Benbow, an inn in which Jim Hawkins lives with his parents. There an old sailor by the name of Billy Bones dies by means of a stroke, and Jim, being the curious fellow he is, brakes open Captain Bones old sea chest to find a logbook and a treasure map for a distant island. He realizes these to be valuable things and takes them to two trusted friends who go by the names of Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney. Squire Trelawney soon figures the treasure indicated on the map to be the lost treasure of Captain Flint and hastily puts together a crew to search for the treasure.
Setting off in a ship with a fresh crew, all seems okay for the three adventurers. Though it turns out the crew Trelawney hired were once all pirates aboard Captain Flint’s ship. Soon a mutiny, led by the one legged sea cook Long John Silver, turns an exciting trip in search of gold into something much more deadly. The three are able to escape the boat with the treasure map, go to the shore and take shelter in a stockade. After resisting for quite a while,Livesey and Trelawney trade the map to the pirates in exchange for their safety. Soon the pirates head further into the island to search for the treasure but find the place where the treasure should be already excavated. Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney then open fire upon the pirates and escape with Jim and Silver in tow. Later they come upon the missing treasure in an old cave, take it back to the empty ship, and head back to Bristol, leaving the remaining pirates on the island.
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson is truly the greatest adventure novel of all time. Using buried treasure, maps, eye patches, and parrots, he created many, of our day idea about pirates. sense of excitement he is able to portray through his words keep your intrest. This is my absolute favorite book of all time and I think believe everybody should read it.
