Trolling is a type of cyber bullying, affecting lives of many victims. As per the study, bullies who create trolls do it purposely in order to annoy a person and get pleasure out of it. The troll on internet is very easy to create to annoy a person, the person who create troll is usually a jobless person have nothing. In order to show their presence in world and draw attention of people his trolls are created. The person developing trolls is totally unaware of the results, their intention is only to be happy by harassing someone. The troll is an updated version of bullying in schools and colleges, the difference is that the troll is created on large social media.
The first example of trolling I took was of Sean Duffy who trolled three teenage girls and was finally sentenced for 18 weeks in jail. Duffy is suffering from Asperger’s syndrome, a type of Autism in which person is not socially collaborative. Duffy’s first target was Natasha MacBryde, who committed suicide this year under a train on Valentine’s Day. Duffy posted comments on her memorial page using abusive words and attaching her face in front of train’s picture and gave it a name Tasha Mactank engine. The second teenager was Lauren Drew, who died because of epileptic fit, He harassed Drew’s mother sending messages like, “Help me mummy! It’s very hot in hell’. The third teenager which Duffy was found guilty was Hayley Bates, who died in a car crash. MacBryde took action against this troll and taking all three cases into consideration Magistrate Paul Warren sentenced Duffy jail.
Another internet troll is created by Colm Coss, of Ardwick Manchester, on memorial page of Jade Goody. Mrs. Goody is Big Brother star who died of cancer on 22 march 2009. Coss created first RIP trolls on internet about Goody, and there were other memorial pages which he posted stating that he had sex with dead bodies.
