I am interesting in attending the Freeman School of Business because I believe that it provides a great opportunity for me to obtain the professional development skills necessary to achieve my post-MBA goal of returning to the brand management field at the level of Brand Manager. I feel that a Freeman MBA presents these opportunities through its curriculum, Global Leadership Module, and student activities & clubs. Also, I feel that I can make a meaningful contribution to the Freeman community by bringing leadership, teamwork, and professional experience, along with a minority perspective that supports the value Tulane places on equality.
The curriculum offered by the Freeman MBA program provides me with the chance to put into practice the skills and knowledge required to become a successful Brand Manager. For example, MGMT 611 – Managing People will help me be a more effective team leader, and MGMT 601 - Process Modeling & Technology Integration will give me the skills necessary to effectively integrate technology, people, and systems into the completion of a project. I feel that these courses, along with many of the other courses offered through Freeman’s rigorous curriculum, are particularly beneficial to a Brand Manager and can be applied right away.
The Global Leadership Module is another reason why I would like to attend the Freeman School. We have seen evidence that when it comes to business, the boundaries presented by a country’s borders are becoming increasingly blurred. The same is true of Brand Management. Being able to participate in international courses and assignments will provide experiences that will be invaluable in becoming an effective Brand Manager.
The Freeman School has a vast array of student activities and clubs that also make me want to attend. Activities that I would take interest in include the Freeman Student Government, and Toastmasters International. I feel that these organizations offer me a chance to network with other...
