Thriller
There are a lot of genres in novels. There is romance, adventure, science fiction, legal thrillers, etc. for me, the best is legal thriller novels because it doesn’t only satisfy you but it also awakens you. It awakens your heart and your mind.
One of the best legal thriller novels that I have read, which became my favorite, is the book entitled A Time to Kill by John Grisham. This novel is about a ten-year-old African-American girl who is viciously raped and beaten by two white racists. It is also about the father of the young girl, about what a father can do for his children, especially when his children are assailed. In the novel, it was mentioned that Carl Lee Hailey, Tonya’s father killed the two racist men who raped his daughter. From the actions of Carl Lee, it really shows that a father will do everything for his daughter because he can’t stand to look at his daughter because he can’t stand to look at his daughter suffering while the two men are having fun.
